Here is the brand design I made for Amanda Yoga. Amanda is a Yoga teacher. She is energetic and nurturing. When I’m around her, I feel encouraged and loved.
I use symbolism a lot. Symbols are important. Animals, colors, shapes, plants, numbers are all symbols. They can represent reality in a simplistic, candid way. We don’t always speak a same language or share a similar experience. But we can share similar reactions to symbols, regardless of our culture and background. What do you feel when you see a color green?Symbols can convey ideas that can hardly tell through words. A brand with appropriately used symbols can make people identify themselves with and build emotional connection with it.
In this logo, you can find these symbols: kangaroo, diamond, green, heart. In yoga practice, we have power coming from seven Chakras. Each Chakra has a color and each represents a type of self-development focus point you can practice to reach enlightenment(true happiness). The color of the heart Chakra is green, which she thought is as important as the crown Chakra — enlightenment chakra.
“The heart is on a journey. It needs to be nurtured and cared for it to shine its light onto others.” she said.
I made her a kangaroo. She goes to other people’s house to teach them yoga and she can go very far away for that. She hopes that she can inspire people to be always confident about who they are in any life stage they are in.
